This large vintage aftaba, ewer or water pitcher comes from the Middle East, likely brought home as a souvenir from someone’s travels long ago. It’s a very large size and quite heavy. Has a bird shape on the lid handle and is highly embossed all over with an intricate design, including the bottom. Good condition with little patina on the exterior but quite a lot of buildup on the interior. Exterior has one indention.
