Antique Red Navajo Blanket
This is an antique Navajo textile, handwoven in a very vivid red with black and white accents. Mix of cotton and wool fibers. The edges are a bit uneven, but the quality is great with a firm weave. As you can see in the detail photos, it's actually woven in two parts and sewn together down the middle. No moth damage at all, but there are a few small age spots. This piece is estimated to be from the 1940s.
Our textiles are photographed under daylight-balanced LED studio lights. We do not adjust the colors of the photographs or use filters to ensure that we are always portraying the colors as accurately as possible. Colors may appear very different in your own home under incandescent light or in darker rooms.
